Phumulani Lodge
Numbi Gate – Kruger Park

Travellers who visit South Africa often bring with them many romantic hopes and desires to experience the traditions and deeply rooted cultures that have grown among the people of this great land. Over the years these moments have become increasingly more and more difficult to capture, as ethnic delights fade into the mist of modernization and western society. But for those who would venture into the heart of the bushveld in search of these wonders, there's a little paradise to be discovered that will offer you a lifetime of fond memories - a dance around the fire with the mighty Swazi, long walks through indigenous bush, and perhaps the chance of that elusive photograph of the greatest of the earths animals. This is Phumulani Lodge.

Yet Phumulani Lodge is not an ordinary game lodge as one may expect. Accommodation is spectacularly luxurious, no expense has been spared to provide the most comfortable stay - in the harsh untamed climate of Africa there is nothing quite like those creature comforts.

On those rare occasions when the stillness of the bush is disturbed you will hear the drums and feet of the tribal dancers who will perform their exhilarating rhythms before your very eyes. Phumulani Lodge is situated literally at the well known Numbi Gate entrance to the Kruger National Park, near Hazeyview, easily accessed by road or air.

The Lodge consists of 18 en-suite luxury thatched bungalows and a main Lodge building where meals are served in the fabulous restaurant overlooking the bush. Meals are primarily buffet style and often have an African theme.

To really get close up to the world’s most intriguing creatures like buffalo, elephant, rhino and the elusive cats, Spurwing Tourism Services will escort you into this fascinating wonderland of sights and sounds. Our 4X4 vehicles are the perfect vantage point with the most awe inspiring view of Gods creatures. Game Drives depart from the main building.
