Delta & Chobe Trail

Starting in the capital of Namibia, Windhoek, this tour travels via the arid homeland of the bushman before you reach the water-rich Okavango Delta. A scenic flight transports us to our base where exploration is by mokoro and by foot. Chobe NP is sure to reward us with generous sightings of African wildlife before the tour ends in Africa's adventure capital - Victoria Falls

Leaving Windhoek behind us we head towards the Botswana border. Here we have the opportunity to interact with the local Bushmen community as well as other activities.

We cross the border into Botswana and, after arriving in Maun, we board small planes that transport us over the Delta to our destination. The flight is both practical and scenic. During our three days in the Delta we will go on a nature walk and a mokoro ride with the local people.

Day 5 Namibia – Caprivi National Park

We travel through the Caprivi National Park en route to our destination next to the Zambezi River. We spend the night relaxing next to this mighty river.

Day 6 Botswana – Kasane - Chobe National Park

This afternoon is spent on boat cruise on the Chobe River watching the game come down to the riverbank to drink. Viewing game from a boat is one of the most successful ways to see the animals in their own environment.

Arriving early at our final destination, we head off to visit the spectacular Victoria Falls and experience the thundering sound of the mighty Zambezi. The popular optional sunset cruise includes dinner and drinks.

Most people will spend the day white water rafting, a not-to-be-missed experience of a lifetime! Vic Falls offers many exciting alternatives.

Day 1 Botswana - Ghanzi

We leave Windhoek behind and take a scenic drive to the Buitepos border, where we enter Botswana. Once at the lodge we meet with a local Bushman community and see some traditional Tribal Dancing.

Day 2/3/4 Botswana Maun - Okavango Delta

Maun is well known as the gateway to the Okavango Delta. We spend one night in this remote town and prepare for this excursion. Small planes transport us over this amazing area to Gunn’s Camp for the next 2 nights. Animals are often spotted from the lodge, but we also take a nature walk and, if the water level allows, a mokoro (traditional canoe) trip.

Day 5 Botswana - Gweta

A second scenic air-transfer will return us to Maun and the truck. This afternoon we drive to Gweta where our evening accommodation unique, and a little quirky.

Day 6 Botswana – Kasane - Chobe National Park

We drive north to Kasane, where we stay on the bank of the Chobe River. We take an afternoon river cruise in order to visit Chobe NP’s animals as they come down to the river to drink.

Day 7 Zimbabwe - Victoria Falls

After crossing in to Zaimbabwe we have a short briefing on all the activities available here. Then we enter the much anticipated Victoria Falls NP where we will experience the might of the great Zambezi River. The popular optional sunset cruise includes dinner and drinks. Optional Activities: Chobe Game Drive, Zambezi Sunset Cruise, dinner in local restaurant.
