Children aged <12 with max of 2, sharing with 1 or 2 adults, free of charge - D, B&B.
3rd adult not allowed to share.
The childrens’ policy at Kwa Maritane and Bakubung Bush Lodges will change from 1 January 2013 to 12 and under stay and eat free when sharing with one or two parents, and children 13 to 18 will stay free when sharing with one or two parents but pay 50% of meal prices. One game drive per day will be free of charge, but children 6 years or under will not be permitted.

JUNIOR RANGERS
Legacy Junior Rangers program is available for all children aged 6-12 years. Activities are geared around
natural resource protection, environmental education and responsible recreation offering a special opportunity
to explore the Pilanesberg National Park.

Included: Bushbraai only every Wednesday and Saturday night for all hotel & timeshare guests - weather permitting, min 20 pax total; have to pay for the game drive though. VAT. 1% tourism levy. Accompanied children under 12 qualify for a free game drive, but still will have to pay the entrance to the Park (R20).
Excluded: Sun City entrance & shuttle. Game walk on request. Drinks. Game drives R330pp. Extra game drives. Transfers to/from Gauteng
Check-in time is 14:30 on day of arrival, check-out time is 10:00 on day of departure.
Game drives - R330pp/2,5 hours, Game drives & Bush Braai - min 20 pax
Game drive & Bush Braai if staying elsewhere -R550pp

Game drives & Bush Braai can also be arranged on any other evening however these are subject to a minimum of 30 people being booked (groups less than 30 are still required to pay for 30).
For a Bush Braai Only on other nights for a group less than 30 a surcharge of R2200 is applicable if no other groups are booked, and your group is alone at the boma. The transfer to the boma is R20 per person.

Now as for Bakubung Bush Lodge, Bakubung's vehicles and the Bakubung rangers:
Situated very close to Sun City in the south this is most definately the most popular lodge. Accommodation is in hotel rooms and there are some timeshare units as well. You will probably forgive the slack service as the restaurant looks out over a watering hole and occasionally you get lucky while having a bite. Reception is very competent & helpful. Seasonal frogs might keep you awake a bit.
6 guides, 3 senior and 3 junior, using large open top trucks. The senior rangers are most competent, the juniors pretty good. Book drives direct on arrival. Also have the sightings over the last week, month or year accessable on PC.
