Open to Close in the Park; with lunch midday-ish... normally 11 hours viewing;
1 more in summer, 1 less in winter. Please do not
mail me and ask me for the schedule - this is it. My schedule
totally depends on what the animals allow me to do....
My "normal" day tour: 13,5 hours in the park
summer, 11,5 hours in winter
Departures Nov - Feb half an hour earlier, May -Aug
half an hour later!
Repeat clients get 20% discount, but only for themselves.
Included: Early 3.30am transfer,
entrances, guide for the full day open - close, 1 Pilanesberg map/person,
1l bottled water, 2 soft drinks, snacks and biscuits to stand in for breakfast.
For half days half of this. Use of Binoculars,
1pp. Lunch for individuals.
Excluded: All group meals. We stop for lunch
at about midday.

My rates stay the same BUT I will give the 2 pax pp rate for 1pax, so
R3000pp Jo'burg/Pta, or R2750 Sun City/PB. So I will guarrantee departures
for 1 person at the 2 pax rate pp. Transfer are only at 4h00 from Jo'burg,
and 4h30 from Pretoria, and back 18h00 when the Park closes. Any other
transfers are possible, but will be charged for seperately and additionally.

Alternative pricing options for WC period - 23/6
I have seen an unbelievable number of drivers passing off as guides in
the Park the last 2 weeks, charging guide prices, most of them absolutely
clueless. They are in general using their transfer vehicles that sits
low, and can't see over the long grass. If you want to go this way, I
can offer you my driver and spare Kombi for R2000pp, or R6000 for up to
6 pax. He has more wildlife knowledge than any driver I have ever met,
he knows the Park, spots pretty well, and has been in Pilanesberg about
40 times. And you will have the height advantage of the Kombi.
Pick up 6h00, depart Pilanesberg when it suits you.....
If you can only do a half day, then I would recommend a morning trip.
Minimum charge is for a half day; but for more than that I will add extra
hours at R600/hour or part thereof for however many people. Note that
I think half days/5 hours are far too short! My
trip rates are based on a return the night of the tour, as I might get another
booking the next day. So I charge my transport rate (currently R1500) for
a return anytime the next day. And if I get another booking for that next
day then, I will arrange the alternate transfer and pay the difference in.
Normally no departures the night before, but if I'm
willing, then expect to pay R500pp additional for accommodation and sourcing
it, or book it yourself.
Also bring your swimming trunks with in summer, we try
cool down at one of the camps - it makes a welcome midday break. Short though
please; 10 minutes in & out. Of course, if you take a private trip you
are the boss, or of course if it ends up just being you & me..
Departures:
Departing 3.30am Jo'burg, 4am Pretoria, back
Pta 8.30pm, Jo'burg 9pm.
Note: Nov - Feb half an hour earlier, May
-Aug half an hour later!
I'm flexible, will depart Jo'burg or ORTambo anytime
of the night and day BUT absolutely not during peak hour!
If wanting to split a day, add R1 500 to the base
price. I count the time from when we arrive at the Park, and add 24 hours.
Accommodation for your own account at cost. We normally stay 3km's OUTSIDE
the Park, especially for 1 nighters, but sometimes at the resorts if we can
get place, on the edge of the Park. It is all dependent on your time with
me and the nature of your booking. Be assured that wherever I put you up will
be as safe and secure as it can be.
Private Pilanesberg trips: as above
1 Person trips: If you are this serious, then lunch is on me! Normally
meals are excluded.
I will give the 2 pax price per person for 2 single same day bookings,
subject to no additional transfers.
Group booking: max 6 people, this is the
price - I can do 7 at a squeeze, but it is a squeeze.... as above.
Air crew: Seen as group booking.
Stop asking for discount....! :)
Families with kids:
Normally a private trip with kids under 12 @ 1/2
price, but if it works out less with my regular pricing, then I will give
you the normal rate and keep it just for us. Mail me - see Kids

Departures from Sun City and Pilanesberg Lodges:
It prices better than departures from Pretoria &
Jo'burg.
2-day Pilanesberg trips
2 days and 1 night, departures as normal. Accommodation

3 days and 2 nights, same as above. Note that you
see progressively less new sightings as time goes on. What we are looking
for is that one awesome sighting. Rate
