PROGRAMME :You wing your way from Johannesburg to Phalaborwa's Gateway to Kruger airport, where our ranger is on hand to welcome you. Clients on the early morning flight enter Kruger Park through Phalaborwa Gate , a 2 minute drive from the airport. Enjoy a full day of game viewing and birdwatching from our open Game viewer. Clients on the midday flight are normally transferred to Tremisana Game Lodge , where we enjoy an afternoon game drive on the open Landcruiser. After dark , your ranger will use a powerful spotlight to identify nocturnal animals. Dinners in our open boma under the African sky will be traditional African meals.
On your second day , we enter Kruger Park early. We explore the game-rich Central Section which boasts open plains where visibility of game is excellent. From your vantage point on the open Game viewer , you will be afforded excellent photographic opportunities. The abundance of prey species such as impala, zebra, wildebeest and giraffe ensures a generally high concentration of predators in this zone.
On subsequent days, your tourguide will conduct further game viewing in Kruger Park. The Mopani woodlands north of Letaba are home to some of the biggest Tuskers in Africa. A close-up encounter with one of these giants from our open Game viewer is sure to get your adrenalin moving.
Note : A bushwalk with your armed ranger can be arranged, depending on the time constraints of your program. For those clients who wish to see some of the picturesque Panorama Route, we can arrange a drive one way / fly the other way safari.
You do not need a sleeping bag for this tour.
